Wow...lots of questions :)

1. The sperm usually stays in the vaginal canal. The vaginal canal is acidic so the sperm will die within a couple of days. Only during ovulation is when the sperm fight its way into the cervix opening. The cervix is usually plugged with a thick mucus called a mucus plug. During ovulation the mucus plug becomes thin therefore allow the sperm to fight their way into the cervix and hunt for an egg.
2. Sperm doesn't effect the baby at all. The baby is in a protective covering call the amniotic sac.
3. Sperm live for about 3-5 days in the cervix. They die within a few hours if ejaculated out of the body.
4. I was told by a OB/GYN RN that it takes about a month for the pill to get out of your system. However, she told me that the best chance for a women to become pregnant is 14-15 days after you stop taking your birth control. When you stop taking BC you will start your menstrual that first day of your menstrual count 14 to 15 days and that's when you should be ovulating. I was completely in shock because I thought you should never try when you are on the pill. She said its a myth! The pill sends a message to your brain not to release an egg. The follow month its waiting for the message and doesn't receive it so out comes the egg. She said the first 2-3 months after taking BC are the Best!

I guess the tuition I paid is paying off...LOL.
Just Relax and Good Luck!

semen does not enter the crevix and womb due to the cervical mucous plug so it leaks out.

No it does not affect the baby as it never touched the baby, the baby is surrounded by its own sac filled with amniotic fluid, nothing ever reached the baby through there.

Sperm live for up to 5 days inside a womans body, however a woman is only fertile for a time period of between 12 and 24 hours.

It varies from couple to couple, but it is a safe estimate that you should not worry if you dont conceive for atleast 6 months.

The sperm has their life span & if it will not meet a egg it will not live beyond their life. For detail go to various sites available on net.

Try to get a good sex as often as you could and think less about the fact that you want to get pregnant.
