It's hard to choose the UGLIEST American car ever, but the 59 Caddy wasn't even close.
Check out the 58 Edsel, '56 DeSoto, the 1960 Imperial, or any Rambler ever made. They were UGLIER, and don't even exist today. There are plenty of others, but the Cadillac isn't on the list.

Yes, especially in the snooty area where i grew up where so much time was wasted on acquiring many expensive cars and bragging about them. I just moved to South Florida this year, gave up my car and get around by bike now. Much happier not having to pay for gas.

maybe the ugliest car in the past ten years was the Pontiac Aztec with the Ford Contour a close second.

The gremlin and the pacer today. For that time period, I would have to say that any 1959 car, in my eyes, if in great condition is beautiful. That is my opinion.
