Is that important to you? These days it is not often taught that woman should cook for their man, what do you think?
I myself happen to be an excellent cook but no offer intended.

J.Charles, it does not mean that you are a neanderthal because you prefer your lady to cook. Just like a woman might prefer a man to work on her car or take out the trash. Certainly she may know how to walk outside with the trash but maybe she prefers her man to do it. If you are single, then you must do it all but if you are in a relationship you should give and take, right?

Confidence is always sexy and in the kitchen especially so. I've also never heard any man ever say "Everything was going so well and then I found out that she could cook!"

I have My Own Chef!
BUT I can cook too!
I was Taught Cooking as a Child By My Grandmother, and much prefer to cook myself!
Stereo-types will always exist on this front!
Some women are willing to Cook and in the same way-Men are Just as willing-to prepare meals!
Not ALL men are Club-wielding Neanderthals!

If my husband wanted to change careers he could be a chef. Everything that he cooks is amazingly delicious, usually something that I would have never have thought of and he never uses recipes. I can't boil rice without reading the recipe! Don't feel bad if you can't cook well, a good husband or boyfriend will understand. But yes I definitely think a woman being able to cook is aluring......everyone eats several times a day. How refreshing would it be to have a companion that concocted meals for you when you were unable to do so for yourself? I hope this answers your question.......

I am a woman but no matter what they say ...there's three important things for a man and they go in this order
Food
Sports
and women
at first they will tell you that they do not care if you cook or not but then later on they will act ignorant when there's nothing to eat ....do not worry offers will come when you decide to show your talents to a guy ...have you

I know my man definetly loves my cooking and brags to his friends about it. He's a construction-type worker so I make his lunch everyday, too and he tells me the other men are jealous. I've also gotten marriage proposals after people eat my cooking.
So why I don't think it would be a necessity to be able to cook, I don't think it is overlooked by the male completely. :) They do have those Carl's Jr commericals (without us some men would starve...) And they say the way to a man's heart is through his stomach. I know I've met many a man who agrees.

I'm the boss of working on house, yard, and cars. She would be the boss for the house, children, and kitchen.
But that doesn't mean we couldn't help each other out. Example:If she's busy I could cook, clean, or give children baths, and if I'm busy she could change the oil in vehicles, put up a fence, or tear down a wall in the house.

Both of my husbands cooked far more and far better than I could. I think it would have been better if I was a better cook because we could have shared the workload more flexibly and I could have treated him to a special dinner at home once in a while instead of always going out. Damn restaurants demand shirt and shoes and separate chairs!

Absolutely Yes! Women should know how to cook. It is now our trend that women are usually in the house. In that case how she can be useful while she is in the house? But do not let yourselves be the servant of the man.
