John Travolta had a hit single on Midlands International Records entitled "Let Her In" peaking at #10 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart in 1976.

Buy the CD and listen to that hit:

He also had a Hit #106 on the Billboard Singles Charts in 1977 with "Slow Dancing (Feels So Good)".

1978's Grease produced the chart-topping single "You're the One That I Want" as well as the hit "Summer Nights," both duets between Travolta and the film's other lead, Olivia Newton-John.

"Let Her In" charted at #10 in the U.S. in 1976. His other pre-Grease songs that charted were "Whenever I'm Away From You" (#38 in 1976) and "All Strung Out On You" (#34 in 1977). Of course his Olivia Newton-John duets "Summer Nights" (#5) and "You're the One That I Want" (#1) charted in 1978. Also in '78 from the Grease Soundtrack he charted the song "Greased Lightning" (without the help of Olivia), but it only made it to #47. The only other Travolta chart sighting came in 1996 when the "Grease Megamix" (taken from the Pure Disco CD) made it to #25 (well unless you count Joey Travolta- John's brother- who had a song called "I Don't Wanna Go" on the charts in 1978. It made it all the way to #43.
