First of all no one is ugly! We are all beautiful in AMERICA! America is known 4 people to be diff.! Well, the depressed part maybe caused from something else! If your depressed about your image then try to change yourself! It PERFECTLY normal not to like the way you look! Many people dislike things about themselves, doesn't mean you have to be depressed! LIsten i have a friend who was really big and she changed herself so much that nobody can recognise her now! No joke, no surgery nothing! Just straight up working out eating healthy! Dont let anybody stop you! Contact a local nutrionist and get some help from them! They will help you make a schedule and a diet for yourself! If you want to change you can! Just have to be ready mentally to want to do it! Good Luck!!!!!

I would tell her the following:

1. You're not going to meet Prince Charming. Not everyone looks like a Playboy Bunny or a beauty contestant. Get over it.

2. You need a 90 day program in which you test yourself, and satisfy some goals for YOU.

3. Get in shape. Stop making excuses. Nobody cares if you think you're "big boned" or "have a nice heart inside".

4. If you lose some weight, and get a nice feminine shape, you'll feel better about yourself, and you'll get attention from men, no matter what your face looks like.

5. You probably don't look as bad as you think (see #1). Average or plain-looking people do just fine in life.

6. Get some new advice from a new source. Mothers mean well, but you need to hear some advice from someone who is not your friend.

7. An athletic look and lifestyle is a nice change.

Get excited about taking care of yourself. If you start exercising and eating right (not starving yourself, eating healthy) then over time you will start to see a change for the better. That change will make you feel better and it will all snowball from there. Depression snowballs the same way---the more depressed you get the more you eat and the less social you are so the less friends you have.
Break that cycle and turn it into something positive. You can do it, and I promise it will make you happy.

She probably isn't ugly, she probably has a very distorted self image and that can stem from her depression. Really, she's the only person that can help herself, who does she think will do it for her? She has to change her mindset, make a committment to herself to make better decisions when she eats. She also needs to find a support system, her friends and family and reach out to them when she feels weak, once she becomes healthier, her self image will change (compliments help too!) Honestly, the only problems she seems to be facing are things she can change herself, at least it's not like she has a terminal illness or something she can't do anything about. It's her life and she has to own it!

No women are ugly, all women are beautiful. Some are cute and some are pretty.

Having said that, self-image problems can be a bugger, particularly if some a__hole sees that you have a problem and decides to make you feel worse.

Believe me, everybody who feels that way is short changing themselves. If you are very fat, you know that there are cures, none easy, and other problems can make it nearly impossible.

As for ugly, well I doubt it very much, that comes from within, and I've only ever met one truly ugly woman, the one it takes to prove the rule above.

hunny. come on looks are everything. im sure your a very caring and thoughful person and you will find a man out there that think you are the greatest person alive and they wont be able to live without you. i am an overweight guy myself and sometimes i dont like myself then i just tell myself who cares what anyone thinks im happy and that all that really matters. and as for being depressed. girl there aint enough time on the planet to be depressed. so put on that smile and live your life to what you want it to be not to what other people want it to be.

I suggest you go find a counselor. If you think your are really depressed, like the medical condition, then you need to go se a doctor and get medicine. It can be very serious and lead to suicide (which is a really really bad option).

I would tell her that there is more to her than just the outside, and I have been in her shoes before and she has all of the power to change herself for the better. I would also ask her to please get some help for the depression, it is difficult to help yourself when you are depressed.

Stand on the scale and look into a mirror.
Then remember what you saw and get meds for depression; go on a diet and surround yourself with good friends.

Honey you need to see how you are inside. People focus too much on the outside and it makes you feel bad about yourself, there are alot of people who can see inner beauty, maybe you should let yourself.
