After I get through an exhausting workout (three hours of ice time), my body wants to cramp up in different places. Can anyone tell me what the cause of this is (obviously over-exertion), but what my body is lacking that is causing it to want to cramp up? Thanks guys.

Cramps are caused by lactic acid build up in the muscles. Lactic acid is caused by an anaerobic process of energy production...it's what is caused by activities such as sprinting. So if you're muscles are poorly conditioned, your body can't get rid of the LA in the muscles fast enough and you get cramps.

You can approve this by building up endurance, stretching before workouts, and massaging your muscles after the workout. also drink plenty of water. Dehydration can really muss you up.
