I read this story about this boy would played a prank which was putting a rat in this candy jar and this old women put her hand in there and felt the dead rat. she had a heart attack but luckily didn't die.

How do you think the now grown-up boy felt about his schoolboy prank?

Do you think he regrets it?

it depends. i am assuming this is some sort of parable and not a true story. did the boy pull the prank intending to scare the old lady out of revenge or was he thinking it was just funny and harmless?

some people would carry the guilt around the rest of their lives. some would feel awful about the consequences but learn from the mistake. i would really hope that the latter is the case. guilt is a very negative, damaging emotion. it is one thing to admit wrongdoing and make reparations if needed, but to carry around guilt for the rest of your life accomplishes nothing.

you can't expect a little boy to understand that such a prank (with no malice intended) could result in such physical injury. actually, a situation like that could be used to teach the child that there are consequences (sometimes serious consequences) for our actions.
