Man has a choice unlike other living beings to do so many un-natural things. Resorting to non-vegetarian diet even when survival is not the issue, is the example of being unreasonable to other living beings that are not our food, and also causing a great stress/strain on our digestive system !

Most archaeologists now agree that mankind made its big leap from animal to human when they started to eat meat. The addition of meat to their vegetables, created a balanced diet that fuelled the development of our superior brains. So eating meat has always been a basic part of being human.
That doesn't mean that humans must eat meat in order to be healthy today. In those days, humans had only a limited range of vegetables and herbs available to them and so were often malnourished. These days, vegetarians can choose from a much wider range, so that their diet is just as balanced as a meat eater's.
Personally I eat meat because I think the environment is more important than my affection for animals. If we all became vegetarian tomorrow, the earth wouldn't be able to feed everyone. Why? Because most cattle and sheep feed on poor pasture. They convert useless grass into food for us to eat. If we got rid of the sheep and cattle, the pasture wouldn't be good enough to grow fruit and vegetables on. To make it good enough would require tonnes of synthetic fertilizers and pesticides, and bio-engineered crops. All those things would be bad for the planet.
So yes, killing animals may not be a nice thought, but it is an essential part of the natural way of things for predators to eat meat. We don't think badly of the lion because it kills an antelope. We don't kill our own meat any more because there are so many of us that it's impractical. But it's still more natural than trying to get crops from rocky soil, so I'll stick with it, thank you.

No, there is nothing wrong with being a non-vegitarian!
I agree with the first person to answer your question, "plants are living beings as well"!
--Fruits and Vegitables are raised/grown on a farm/orchard so people may have food, when the plant is severed from its root it dies.
--Livestock is raised on a farm so people may have food, when a cow, chicken, etc's. head is severed from the animals body it dies also.
However, it is all in how a person feels about the way he/she eats! If you feel guilty for eating meat, then don't eat it. If you don't feel guilt about it then eat meat and vegitables, it all is nutrishious and healthy for you if you eat in well balanced moderation.

If there where anything wrong with that, humanity could not have last so long, my friend. Plants are living beings, too, and recently was found they react to music and talking... perhaps it is more cruel to eat a vegetable while it is still alive than a cow when it's already dead.
Hope it helps.

Whether there is anything wrong or not should be decided by onself.
There are certain species which are non vegetarians by nature, and they depend on other animal flesh for their survival. Hence there is nothing wrong for them. They are for example: Lion, Tiger, spider, crow, dog etc.
There are certain species which are vegetarians by nature. They survive only on plants etc. These are Elephant, Ziraffi, Camel, deer, horse, cow etc.
It is said that those which drink water by licking with tongue are non vegetarians. And those which drink water by directly with mouth are vegetarians.
Anatomically human beings are vegetarians. Consuming Non vegetarian food causes undue load on the digestive system.

Worrying over eating other beings has to be second priority.
Number 1 is that human beings are gobbling up other human beings, everywhere, everyday and feel proud for their ability to compete. Strong people never spare the weak, do they? And then justify by misquoting Darwin - survival of the fittest.

There is something wrong with going to the far side of either question. All beings were created upon this planet to be of service to each other. Do you not all realize that to undermine that service is to do a disservice to your fellow beings? When fanatics of any sort deface the offering of one being to another they dishonor themselves as well.
Examples of this: throwing blood on furs, rejecting vegetable offerings for "low carb" diets, advocating release of personal pets, labelling any other being as "bad"
Get a clue people. This place is a closed ecology. If we do not live as the Creator intended, we all die. Any time humans try to affect the natural balance it means disaster. Even we humans, ultimately, are consumed.

I don't think there's anything wrong with it. As with anything you just need to do it in moderation. You can't be a full blown steak eater and get away with it, or visa versa, you can't eat an apple a day and get away with that either....
There's a balance in there somewhere. I do believe however that meat eaters need to learn to appreciate fresh fruit and vegetables. It seems with most fast food nowadays and fast lifestyles, that people are forgetting they can pick up a bag of carrots or some grapes for a snack just as easily they can a burger or fries......
Good luck and fine dining ! ! ! !

I am one of the biggest Animal lovers you'll meet. But I'll tell you something. I support veggies..... But I realized that me not eating meat doesnt bring that animal back to life. I eat meat because its a mean of survival.... You have to eat and the animal can't be brought back. HOWEVER!!! I do NOT wear fur or support it or hunting or anything that kills an animal for looks or hobby. Only to survive and eat.
