I'm 5'3" and my measurements are 36/29/38. I wear an 8 size jean usually. I don't know if I measured myself right though, because my jeans are usually a little big in the waist and according to size charts, a 29 inch waist is for a size 10! Yeesh. I am not a size 10. Anyway if anyone else is the same body type, could you share with me what's your favorite type of jean and where you like to buy your jeans at? I need some direction!! :) Also, I hear GAP has petite sizes now, if anyone's tried them tell me are they good jeans?

You should check out this web site: zafu.com. You have to answer a few simple questions, no measuring involved, and they will give you a list of jeans that will fit your body the best. You can then search for styles that come in a short length. They also have a great article this month about how to shorten those cool premium jeans brands!

My favorite jean brands are True Religion, Frankie B., Juicy Couture, Miss Sixty, Abercrombie, Armani, and Bebe jeans. When it comes to style, the wash material can be light, destroyed, or dark wash..but they have to be either boot-cut or flare.
Most brands like Gap, American Eagle, Abercrombie, and Hollister tend to run pretty small when it comes to their jeans. My size is a 2, mainly 3...but when I buy jeans at Hollister, I have to buy a 5 or 7 because of how small they run after their first wash.

So, I suggest visiting different stores (try some of the brands that I mentioned.) and trying on different types of jeans to figure out what style, brand, and size fits you best.

From your description and looseness of jeans around your waist, it sounds like you have an hourglass figure. It is the trickiest shape for jeans, however you could try gaps curvy range, or any other curvy jeans, and they should fit. Dont buy straight styles.

I get my jeans from a store called Next in England - their fit is perfect, and not big around the waist.

My adventure has been bypass with what suits you. once you bypass denims searching, completely ignore with regard to the kind names. each kind has their very own decrease and sizing equipment. attempt on some varieties and spot what cuts in good condition you suited and experience stable. submit to in concepts that even the comparable namebrand would not unavoidably propose all of the pants will in good condition the comparable way. next, in case you're like me and positioned on denims lots of the time, fabric high quality is mandatory. check out the textile to verify it extremely is woven properly, and that's thick and stable. once you're a wallet gal, check out the wallet. you in all probability have the prefer to ascertain the wallet are not shallow. next, check out all of the fastenings. Does the zipper bypass up and down easily? are the buttons rivetted on securely? examine the seams. i've got had ok-mart denims final for years and Levis final some months and vice versa. call kind extremely would not have tons to do with high quality.
