I'm guessing you mean poop, and that is perfectly normal as long as she doesn't seem uncomfortable and her bowel movements are of a soft consistency. Some babies use all of the nutrients that they consume and they don't need to go every day. It is perfectly fine and normal for them to go even up to 3 days without a bowel movement. Good Luck

The pediatrician said it is fine. Unless she is crying and straining for 10 minutes or has rabbit like turds she is constipated. My son usually doesn't do it daily either.Specially when he was around that age .He was also breastfeed. The PD said they can go up to a week without pooping when being breastfeed. My son usually went about every 4 days. Theres no reason to try and make her go everyday shes probably just using all the nutrients to grow. And doesn't need to make a stinky. Oh yeah and she should also have 6-8 pee diapers a day.

Some babies go once or twice a week. It's OK as long as it is soft when it comes out. If her stools are like logs, rock balls, marbles, or pellets, than she is constipated. Some tricks are inserting a rectal thermometer in to the anus for about a min., FIBER give that baby some prune juice about a teaspoon in her bottle, you can also give her Karo syrup mixed w/ water but there are some concerns about botulism spores in Karo syrup, or good old H2O about an ounce or two.

It's probably ok. We asked our baby's doctor about this a few months ago & she said babies are like people. They may not go for a day or 2 sometimes, and they may go 2 or 3 times a day. But you need to talk to the dr just to make sure everything is ok.

I breast feed for a very long time and I didn't have that happen to me......while at the hospital after 3 days she hadn't pooped the Dr' told my to stimulate her anus a little Vaseline and rub out side of her or with rectal thermometer insert just a tiny bit inside her rectum this helped my child......If you are worried call her Dr. that is why you have them this way you will be at peace

At about the two month mark they quit going everyday. Is she breastfed? They will usually go every two to three days. My daughter is 3 1/2 mos. old and is breast baby, she only goes every three days. I asked her doctor, she said that is normal, and around three months they will not eat as long from the breast either.

Here is what my dr told me...and you don't need a dr's advice to try it...
I do this when my daugther goes a day or two with no bowel movement.
Massage the OUTSIDE of the baby's anus, the dark circle around the poop hole. With in a couple of hours, it's worked it's magic.
Once again, let me emphasize...OUTSIDE. with your finger or a wipe...which ever you're more comfortable with. DO NOT stick your finger inside.
Good luck!

If he or she is breastfed that is perfectly normal as long as the stool is not hard. It should be soft and easy to pass. My daughter nurses and at four months old she still only goes once or twice a week which for her is fine.

Sometimes if there not getting enough to eat the also hold their poo in. The body takes nutrients out of it. My son ot 5 mths didnt poo for 5 days I thought he was constipated gave him medication etc. Turned out he had a growth spurt and simply needed more to eat,

my doctor told me that if my son didn't have a bowel movement in a 3-day period... to make an appointment. I would ask about your baby's diet though. A friend of mine had to switch to a special formula because her baby was having trouble with bowel movements.
