Republicans complain a lot about Clinton... but how long does it take to fix the screw ups... and what have they done to fix them?

They have a majority and they have pushed through legislation before that was unpopular with the dems... so that should be no excuse...

Frankly, I see some areas that could have been handled better in hindsight... but what have Republicans done to fix the problems?

6 years... 0 problems solved?

Paul: that's not the question, but off the top of my head... I think Clinton inherited about a 7 percent unemployment rate from the elder Bush... and he left with about a 4 rate if I remember correctly... that's good...

and the economy was in a borderline recession if you remember when he started.... that was greatly improved, even though the dotcom bust dimmed that slightly, but still overall, very good growth... in fact the dow was at record highs near the end of his presidency... it's only now getting back to that point and topping that point...

the yearly debt was greatly reduced and we were starting to get to a point where the overall debt was going to be affected... Republican congress had something to do with that, granted, but Clinton signed the bill...

that's just off the top of my head...

I mean... at what point do you go... "it's your responsibility now"... I give it a two year honeymoon period... then if you haven't fixed it... it's your fault... for the most part...

Neither party wants to solve problems, they just like to push their own agenda. Society has gone to the dogs, no one takes responsibility for anything anymore. So each party blames the other, and nothing gets solved. We the people are screwed.

Well Democrats had 8 years to solve problems, and you failed to mention any of their major accomplishments, perhaps there were'nt any. Stop playing political games and get with the facts!

bush already said we aren't leaving iraq. He doesn't care about anything else than his ego. He doesn't care if we get nuked, die of disease, ss, or anything else other than iraq.
