Your teenage years end on your twentieth birthday. 20 is a whole new number, and the reason that 21 is so important is that you are considered to be an adult because its 20 years plus one.

On your 21st birthday is the final finale of the teenage years because even though you'll be 20, you will still be treated like a teenager!

On your 20th birthday. At 19 (nineTEEN) you are still a teenager, the last year that ends in TEEN. On your 20th birthday, there's no more TEEN in your age.

20th!

Now when adolescence ends, that depends on maturity.
When adulthood begins, that also depends on maturity, but can also be measured by 18, 21, or 24 when car insurance goes down, when you get married, when you have a baby, when you get a job, any number of things!

the key here is the word teen. nineteen is the last year with the word teen in it so at 20 you are no longer a teenager

When something happens to you that makes being a teenager no fun anymore....your girlfriend gets pregnant...you get AIDS...someone close to you dies in school...something that changes your life. Age is meaningless...when something makes you grow up from being a child into being a young adult...that's when your teenage years end.

when you finally realize that you are not as great and smart as you think you are. That's a sure sign of the end of the teenage years.

that's probably also the end of immaturity.
