I mean someone that you had a really close connection with and you were for sure he was the one but you didn't end up together when all was said and done. I've always wondered if you really do end up with your soul mate or you just end up with whoever is available. Also would you fight for someone if you thought he/she was your soul mate or would you just give up and move on with your life?

When someone is your soulmate, you will know it, it wasnt meant to be if you didnt end up together, everything happens for a reason.

Fight for it---You never know unless you give it your all.
I know this situation well...my BEST guy friend is someone that I've liked for 4 almost 5 years now. He's gone through many girlfriends and I am his support friend, approving of the diff girls, hanging out with the 2 of them, etc. It sucks! But I love him enough to do it. I dont think our connection could get any closer unless we became romantic (is that the word?). =). He is my best friend---and somehow, though I love him, I don't believe we will end up together. If we are soul mates, then we are soul mate best friends. The fact that I like him doesnt change our friendship in any way.

when I look back - I am glad I didn't end up with the women I thought I should be with.
if I thought someone was my "soulmate" I would give the relationship my best shot. But if the other person doesn't go along with your idea of them being a "soulmate" well not much you can do. Just go on, bawl some, but just go on.

Yeah, I have often wondered why that happened to me, and yes I would fight for the one i thought was him/her, but I did that once, and it ended in a disaster.

I think you should fight for them if you rally think they are your soul mate.
