I'm pretty sure they are not. My experience tells me that some customers are just plain rude and crude even if you're trying to be nice to them. I'm a young person who works at retail as a part time job and then go to school. I always encounter extremely rude and loud customers who will DO ANYTHING to get what they want. Some customers even want the employees to break rules (for example: give discounts) for them.

I don't fall for it though, I tell them no when I know for sure that they are wrong. I don't try to appease them. And when you say NO to them, they either get mad, or say something insulting to you.

It's how you're supposed to think. You want to please them because you want their business and word of the mouth advertisement.

Hell, my brother's girlfriend is the assistant manager of the hotel and they do all kinds of **** for free things. One customer went as far as to b*tch and moan about a light bulb to get a free room.

If you continue pissing them all off, you better believe that they're going to tell people who will tell other people and eventually, you're not going to have a job as your place of work will close down.

Yes, it can be very frustrating dealing with rude people. One thing that helped me when I worked in retail was remembering that if there were no customers, I would not have a job. If you treat people with kindness, they may surprise you. I had one lady who was very, very angry and took it out on me. I continued to be kind and empathetic, and she stopped and apologized for her behavior.

customers are frequently wrong . but it is better to have a customer leave happy so they will come back. mad customers not only leave but tell their friends about the experience giving only their side of the story.

They are usually idiotic jerks, but you have to pretend to be nice to them so they don't tell your supervisor
