Nope, no such thing, however, in the history of the US, I do not think that any president up for reelection during wartime has lost to his opponent. (With the exception of Nixon, but he really didn't lose, did he... he was just a loser.)

The US Constitution requires that a Presidential election is held every 4 years regardless if we are at war. FDR was elected 4 time (before the amendment to limit the terms of office to 2 was passed) twice during WWII.

I'm fairly certain that there is no such rule. There were two presidential elections (1968, 1972) performed during the U.S.'s involvement in the Vietnam War. There was an election during the Korean War (1952). There was an election during World War II (1944).

Elections for president will always be held every four years, unless something completely drastic happens, like a major, multi-city nuclear attack on the U.S. (think CBS's "Jericho").
Presidential elections will, and always have been, held during war time. The next presidential election will take place in November 2008, whether we are still at war or not.

Where do you people get this stuff. Have you ever read the Constitution, I know you never even looked at it, you scum.
Plus if you ever read it you would know that WE ARE NOT AT WAR, Congress has not declared war!!! Congress approved military action, but that is not a declared war. We are in a state of war with N Korea, and have been for 50 years now.
Never mind you are a lost cause, go back to watching Fox.

No, we have a Presidential election every four years. In time of war, or not.

Well, if that WERE the case, it certainly would be a big incentive for presidents to declare war, wouldn't it? A constant state of warfare under a single regime... I can't imagine that'd be a good thing for a country to encourage. (Though, the early Romans and Mongols may disagree ...)

their is no officially declared war. that only happens when the president and the Congress declares an official war on a country. we are fighting an entity called alqueda that means we fight where ever they are perceived to be. operative word perceived. Iraq was a bone that both political parties voted for.
