Wear plum eyeliner if you have green, brown or hazel eyes to really make your eyecolor "pop". If you want to try a purple eyeshadow, make sure it is not bright purple, or too pastel. These will make you look washed out or too tarty. The best color of purple is a light plum, and try wearing it just on your lids with a brown or grey shadow in the crease of the eyelid, or just in the crease with a neutral colored shadow on the actual eyelid. The key is to keep the color understated by not going overboard with it. A small amount of color can be striking and beautiful!

Wear what you want.

I wear ORANGE eyeshadow & I don't look like a fool, I actually get compliments.

Although, I wear many many many different colors. Light purple is a really nice color.

EDIT- the person above me said something I totally forgot. Make sure your eyeshadow isn't way different from your clothing!! If you are wearing black & white, pretty much any color will do. If you are wearing orange with jeans, don't use something crazy like green! Unless...you have a shirt that is orange AND green, but that would be a hideous shirt!

oh yeah actual, it creates a softer line than extremely eye liner, that's a formidable defined line. i exploit an angled brush and gently sprint it alongside my eyelid and then gently smudge it to soften it. purples are an stunning colour for you when you consider which you have brown eyes, additionally in case you prefer to do some thing somewhat darker attempt a deep pink or brown when you consider that black may be somewhat harsh on women with effortless epidermis. you additionally can mixture it up and do wild colours like limes and aquas once you're feeling somewhat cheeky, lol.

It all depends on your skin color and tone. If you're fair skined or oval, then some shades of purples and lilacs will look clean and elegant. But, purples do not compliment olive or mocha skin tones; on the darker skin colors, nudes and warm colors like soft bronze or nude glosses look best.

I'm not sure if it's in, but I don't think it is totally out either(makeup usually doesn't follow trends; except for stuff like heavy blue eyeshadow and frosted lipstick, which is totally OUT!). Just wear what you want, but don't overdo it.

I sport it like a fine gold chain when I have my brown contacts in.

My natural Blue/gray eyes.. not so much.

I really don't give a rat's-*** what Mischa Barton or Paris Hilton are wearing. If it enhances your overall appearance. Go for it!
