Better descriptions would be an Ethnocracy or Theocracy. Better still an apartheid state.

It's funny how the Jews always end up blaming the Muslims for everything. Someone up here is asking a question about Israel not about Muslims. So answer the question. Leave the hate and bigotry aside. A happy Christian brother.

Israel is more concerned about its citizens the way America does.
But the only difference is that US is the superpower with lot of riches and power to influence the world. What ever it does there is no one to question. If Americans elect a wrong leader the world will suffer except US.
Israel is different. It proved to the world countries that size is not the matter to protect its integrity. Just imagine when America itself is under threat from Laden, Israel boldly faces all the challenges and keeping ahead with its intentions. Imagine there are many personalities which are equal or more powerful that Laden, which Israel is facing day to day. In the process if it has to kill enemies or its citizens, still it is worth.
Being an Indian, I admire Israel. Forget the religion, but the way it attacks anti-nationals, or Islamic terrorists.
We have lot to learn from Israel, including US.

Some idiots would call it an ethnocracy or theocracy or an apartheid state.

Israel is organized as a democracy and tries its best to provide for the safety of its citizens. When you are surrounded by enemies and invaded daily by people who want to blow themselves up to kill your children you might take a few precautions.

Being paranoid doesn't mean you don't have enemies. Israel is the most democratic country in the Middle East.

Good point. I have another question. Why do we only hear about the 6 million Jewish people killed in the holocaust and not the 5 million other mentally ill, handicapped, gypsies, etc? Also what about all the other genocides, like Rwanda or Darfur,...? don't get me started, what about Muslims killed in the crusades. there is certainly a double standard in this world, i.e. money talks.

I am not against anyone, just inequity and double standards.

Since the government is elected by the people it is a democracy. You might of course be very very unhappy about the government's policy towards other states and their non-Jewish citizens. Í am too, and I am not an idiot.

I suppose if YOU can call Islam a "peaceful religion," then pretty anything goes....wouldn't you agree!?

YOU can call Israel a Democracy in the sense that Saudi Arabia, Iran, Jordan, Egypt, Syria, for example ARE NOT....

That's how YOU do it.

An idiot would not because an idiot would not know a democracy if it hit him the rear.
