You just scared the bajebers out of me. I would just wash the nipple off. I am a mother of 3 and once they were over 3 months old I just washed there bottles in soap and water and they are healthy little terks. You should be fine without the whole boiling and such or and for future reference your shouldn't run with the baby is your hands.

Very cute!

Why didnt you just sterilize it while you were typing this into answers. Oh I forgot you are a male and so need step by step instructions.

Step one
Resterilize the bottle
Step two
Check you do actually have the baby with you
Step three
Walk don't run back to the car
Step four
Strap the baby in
Step five
Write down your address in case you forget it so you can find your way home.

if the bottle was covered with a cap (which it should be) then i wouldnt clean or sterilize it, if it was dropped on its side and the nipple never touched the ground, i wouldnt either, if the nipple touched the ground then id just grab a sterilized nipple and swap the two and im sure that nothing would harm your gal. Thats me though, there is an art to retreiving lost bottles, soothers etc, and im sure its not going to kill her.

You should take it inside and sterilize it. Also you should make a new bottle in the mean time.

People freak out about things...I took my 4 day old daughter to the store and people just assumed that she was two weeks old. It was a belief that a child had to be "Hidden" from the world to keep from getting sick. I am happy to say, my daughter was healthy at birth, and other then a mild case of thrush, and a sniffly nose once, which she caught from me...she is a very healthy 6.5 mo.
That's what baby wipes are for....unless you droped it in a pile of dog poop....

What's your Intelligence Quotient ? Cannot be very high considering the insensitive and stupid things you keep coming up with.
No friends ? No life ? Mentally unstable ? WHAT ARE YOU ?
If you think your questions are funny then boy you have a weird sense of humour. YOU ARE SICK.

That was one attention getter! Sterilize it or have a spare bottle ready in the fridge.
