I'm a certified medical assistant and I worked in Oncology/Hematology for a while. It isn't so bad as some other duties in this field because no "stick" is the same. You will even grow to enjoy getting the "hard sticks" because it will give you a new challenge. Just remember to feel for the veins, not look for them, and you will do fine. There are a few other tricks of the trade, but if you'll be working strictly in phlebotomy, wherever you end up will teach you all that. Good luck!

I not work in that area, but, know people who do and they enjoy their work. Just learn to be safe and relax and enjoy people, you will do well.
