If you are having a video problem i would first recommend getting a graphics card that will free up onboard RAM for your PC while handle all the graphical processes on the card itself. If your still having problems bump up the RAM.

RAM first is a good cheap solution but i think every system should have a stand alone graphics card instead of using onboard. What the first response meant was 1 GIG of RAM not 1 MEG. Can probably find it cheap on sale after rebate at most retail outlets. If your not sure what memory you need you can go to this website and let them scan your system. http://www.crucial.com/index.asp
There is a SCAN MY SYSTEM button just hit it and accept all the pops up and let it do its thing. You can even buy RAM directly for them sometimes its cheap but mostly its cheaper after rebates in stores.

I custom build computers for a hobby( did it as a bussiness but theres no money in it) and I can tell you for certain you need more ram, at least 512 or more to run win xp properly. Second, make sure the dvd drive is not slaved to the same ribbon cable as hard drive, this will slow transfer speeds down alot. Third, install windows defender anti-spyware from microsoft. Its free and it works awsume against unwanted spyware running in the background which will also slow down computer and cause jittery dvd play back. Also make sure you are using the very latest videocard and sound card drivers. But before anything, add more ram!! or everything running on xp will be crappy!

First thing I would say is more RAM. Perhaps a video card, but I think RAM would be the biggest thing, you need at leat 512MB for XP to run smooth, 1GB makes life a lot easier. If you need help picking some out feel free to email me.

To run properly DVD application you need at least 1GB of RAM. If you have 256MB, the cheaper solution is to increase more 512MB. Your system will upgrade to 768MB and it will work good.

Install the latest codecs... If the video is DivX video try and update the DivX codec..... The best you can do is install the Ac3Filter.
Its a codec for all types of videos. Try this and I think it will work fine.

the only thing is you need to upgrade your RAM 1GB will be enough.
If problem persist then you can try to increase your pagefile size, it should work.

i think there is no problem in your sys config.. please install correct display driver from your hardware manufacturer... please use softwares such as CYBERLINK POWER DVD 6 or INTERVIDEO WIN DVD 7 or higher version of these softwares... Because these are best for viewing of video and gives best result in sound output such as 5.1 , 7.1 etc...
