You most certainly SHOULD complain. It's what our founding fathers intended, a vigilant citizenry.
"It is the duty of the patriot to protect his country from the government.
- Thomas Paine
"If ever time should come, when vain and aspiring men shall possess the highest seats in government, our country will stand in need of its experienced patriots to prevent its ruin."
- Samuel Adams
"The only thing necessary for the triumph of evil is for good men to do nothing."
- Edmund Burke
"This country, with its institutions, belongs to the people who inhabit it. Whenever they shall grow weary of the existing government, they can exercise their constitutional right of amending it, or exercise their revolutionary right to overthrow it."
- President Abraham Lincoln
"In the beginning of a change, the patriot is a scarce and brave man, hated and scorned. When his cause succeeds however, the timid join him, for then it costs nothing to be a patriot."
- 'Mark Twain'
"Patriotism means to stand by the country. It does not mean to stand by the President."
- President Theodore Roosevelt
"I love America more than any other country in this world, and, exactly for this reason, I insist on the right to criticize her perpetually."
- James Baldwin, Notes of a Native Son
"So long as we have enough people in this country willing to fight for their rights, we'll be called a democracy."
- Roger Baldwin
"Disobedience, in the eyes of any one who has read history, is man's original virtue. It is through disobedience that progress has been made, through disobedience and through rebellion."
- Oscar Wilde
"Our lives begin to end the day we become silent about things that matter."
- Reverend Martin Luther King Jr.

Yes, I agree with you. We've all heard that mindless response.
Besides that, it is not fair to tell someone to move because they do not like it where they are after they have wasted years trying to learn to adjust to a particular culture. Like plants, people are best transplanted at as early an age as possible. Even if there were, in fact, a place in the world that one could go and be free, the amount of readjustments that would be required ranging from language to culture would be prohibitive. And one would likely lose their family along with most anything else they would need to live an acceptably normal life elsewhere. "Love it or leave it" is just not practical.
I feel betrayed living in a country that routinely ignores its constitution because its government feels obeying it is not always the best policy. I do not think this is an argument that can be used to tell me to shut up or leave.
Many people are confused because they are told we are better off than many other countries. It would seem we are, but something just isn't right. I beleive the confusion lies in the fact that Americans are confusing "rich" with "free". Americans tend to be richer and have more conveniences available than citizens of many other countries. But Americans are not very free-especially now days. There is a difference between being rich and being free.

What part of ILLEGAL as in CRIMINAL do you not understand? All prisoners in Maricopa county no matter where they are from are put in the tents unless they require maximum security incarceration. You should take a look at the way the thugs in the Mexican government treat Illegals in Mexico. Don't want go to jail? DON'T BREAK THE LAW!!!!

when a person complains all the time, people get tired of the negative attitude. Like someone who whines about their job all the time, Then quit already! You need to pick your battles. Complaining brings people down and attracts negative karma back to you.

EVERY citizen of a free country is entitled to their opinion and also entitled to share that opinion....how others respond it on them not you (unless it goes beyond dissent, dissatisfaction, complaining and gets into "aid and comfort" areas)
Ignore those that try to shut you up with silly comments..keep educating yourself on what it is you don't like and be able to slap them down with your solutions!!!
