Some web pages are broken into sections called frames. You can have two, three or more frames on a single screen. Each frame can load separately and some even scroll separately.

Some browsers support (can handle) the use of frames. Some can't. For that reason a lot of web designers have abandoned the use of frames. They were really trendy for awhile but you don't see them so much anymore.

also, frames are resource intensive... since each frame loads a separate webpage, if the contents of that webpage is heavy (i.e. a lot of pictures etc.), it can affect the speed of accessing these pages...

You can combine so many seperate page under the one page.
