Wow, it is kind of hard for me to answer this question because I do listen to my wife's suggetions, even when she says that I don't listen to her. Does he eventually carry out what you have suggested to him? That is the question you need to ask yourself. If he doesn't respond with words, check out his actions. Some men can be very egotistic and prideful. They feel that they are the man and the decisions must come from them and don't want their wife or girlfriend to tell (ask) them what to do. If you tell (ask) him to do something, be patient and let him do it on his terms. Unless it is an emergency or very important. Some men have to be charmed into doing things. Ask him what is his thoughts on certain things and you will learn what makes him tick (move).

well from now on when he says something 2 you say "AND". when he asks u why u r doing this tell him well I felt that since you always ask me that there must be more you have wanted 2 say 2 me but I never gave you the chance before by saying and so that you could get the rest out so now Im fixing my "flaw" lol.
aslo since he does not value your opinion then thats a serious flaw of his and should be brought 2 his attention until he either corrects it or ur gone that is gonna be up 2 him. but do bring it 2 his attention often if necessary.
he is showing that he really does not look at you like an equal and in marriage that is disaster.
but most woman who find themselves with a mate like that tries 2 show them the errors of there ways and if that does not change it then there is always doing what u want because by him not valueing your opinion he is not allowing a give and take relationship but a dictatorship. I personally would start doing what I want because one life it 2 damn short 2 spend it with an asshole who does not appreciate me as an individual.
good luck

Maybe you give too much input and he feels you are pressuring him to "see/do things your way" so in order to prove he doesn't have to give you control over his life he does just the opposite. Why not try this: don't offer any advice to him unless he asks you. This way he won't feel that you're pushing him and you won't feel that he is ignoring you. Its not to say you aren't right or have the better choice, but it also doesn' t mean that your rights are right for him. If you stay quite and keep your "two cents" to yourself you may be shocked one day when he comes home and ASKS you for your thoughts on a matter.

It really sounds like you need an approval from your husband. There is a logic behind your plans. So, put your plans into action. Then, demonstrate the results to your husband. This way, he won't have to listen; he will see for himself.

While he is talking and not listening to you, do something crazy to get his attention. For instance, just point to somewhere and laugh hysterically for no apparent reason. Or just jump up and growl at him in a humorous way. He'll think that you're weird, but you'll get his attention.
BTW, you cannot convince anybody about anything with pure logic. You have to combine logic with emotion to get you point across. Good luck!

My husband is exactly the same!
Its a sad fact that men (but not all of you) THINK they are always right and their ideas are always much better than ours but in reality they couldn't be further from the truth. Next time he does it to you ask him if his ears are painted on?

Well, from another point of view, when he say "AND" whenever you suggest, it isnt a bad thing at all...you know why?
b'cos this shows that at least you n him can communicate with each other, giving each other opinons, rather then whenever you suggest something, he say "anything"...."up to you" right?
i hope you get what i mean =)

if it's making you so unhappy tell him he better listen or else....(fill in blank)
possibilities: must go to therapy with you
you cut him off for x amount of time
you are leaving him
you are kicking him out
etc
let him know you're serious and not taking the controlling garbage. it's a type of emotional abuse and you don't have to take it.
