Wanting to change yourself doesn't mean you are losing your identity. It just means that you are trying to make positive changes in your life. Your true self isn't defined by the errors in your past or the negative behaviors you may be working on.

Yes. Everyone has their unchangeable personality. When you want to change it, you are just trying to adjust it within the range of your own personality, might be to the extreme. It would be very very difficult to make a completely reverse.

Yes. It's a part of growing up and morphing into the person we are to be. Otherwise, we'd all still be in diapers waiting for mommy to feed us.

if you are doing it for you then no. people reinvent themselves all the time truelly being yourself is being happy and if you aren't happy then reinvent.
