I follow college football emphatically, and I can tell you that it is definetly Notre Dame. There is such a nation wide fan base that they are an easy money maker, so they get lots of free publicity. The most impressive thing about Brady Quinn is his sister Laura, but he is always being hyped up for Heisman.

Anyway, Notre Dame is not nearly as good as they are made out to be, and the only reason they beat Michigan State was they had been beaten so bad the first half that State just phoned in the second half until it was too late.

It might be the Florida State Seminoles, if you
look at who they have lost to so far. Clemson
and NC State are respectable teams, but hardly
worldbeaters, even Clemson is an AP Top25
team. Notre Dame's loss was to a team that is
currently ranked #4 in the AP Poll USC has played
for the national championship the past three seasons,
so to say they're overrated is a bit unfair. USC deserves
their ranking, and they might have won another national
championship last season, if it wasn't for Vince Young's
heroics. Vince Young carried the Longhorns to a national
title, like he did the year before when he helped Texas
defeat Michigan.

This is an easy one to me. It is USC. Look at their schedule , they play no one and get ranked high every year. For example they lost their quarterback and 2 running backs from last year and they still wound up getting a high ranking to begin the season. They are barely getting by their opponents when they win. They are not blowing out anybody. The PAC 10 is a weak conference. Oregon should have lost to Oklahoma, and Oklahoma beat Washington 37-20 and USC was essentially one play from losing to Washington. The real strength is in the SEC, BIG 10 and BIG 12. They all have tough games all year long. Remember also these conferences play conference championship games to determine the conference champion. The PAC 10 does not do this. So therefore if you run the table in the PAC 10 you do not have to worry about playing another tough opponent until the bowl games. In the other conferences you could wind up playing a very good team 2 times in the same season if they win their division . So the ranking system is very flawed no matter which one you like to go by.

I'd have to agree with Florida State as the most overrated by far! They're ranked higher than a lot of teams with only 1 loss overall; i.e. Penn State, Pittsburgh, Washington, UCLA, BYU, Texas Tech etc. If they lose to Duke this week, then we need to put them in the division 1-AA

Notre dame and USC. Hands down! When will they play someone good and win? The answer is never because Notre Dame is independant and USC plays on the West coast where a girls team could go undefeated.

The Trojans. For the last 2 weeks they barely won. How do they keep a number 3 ranking. I can't wait for Notre Dame to whip em like they did last year. Hopefully the refs wont give the game away again.

the usc trojans....sure they have to play oregon and cal but i really dont think they will beat either of those teams. oregon playing solid offense and defense..a little shaky at times but all around good. the bruins are a decnt team that i think will pull off an upset against the trojans but usc is high ranked because of the way they ended last and because they are winning against easy teams this year...so far.

Auburn in my opinion then Notre Dame. If Florida beats Auburn then they will win out the SEC and play for the championship.
