Its the best thing ever better then the invention of the TV the only thing that would come before the Internet is electricity. It brings the world together everything and everyone is accessible to each other round the world.

For me as an engineer, its all the protocols (TCP, IP, UDP, ICMP, ARP) rules, that software and devices must abide by that support data communications. Without these, it would not work.

i think it could be that our demand for 'here and now' is fulfilled by the internet... the connection to anywhere at any time is pretty cool.
