Seems that they made Clinton-Lewinsky drag on forever, with a special prosecutor and grossly-long and expensive impeachment process that wasted taxpayer $$$ and didn't hurt Clinton's approval ratings one iota. Now on the dawn of Page-Gate and the fall elections, they're saying it's all taken care of? Hmmm.......

Question for RLP -- if you Republicans condemned Foley, why did the GOP House Leadership keep him under wraps for several months, if not several years?

Quick denial of everything is their best policy. "Nope, never happened, didn't see it. Escuse me while I bury my head in the sand and come up with something that will dazzle your attention away from this ...."

Foley didn't comit a crime. He didn't touch anyone. He resigned to minimize the effects of his actions on the government.
The investigation will find out who knew what and when.
What else is there to it?
Should gays be banned from running for office?
Should alcoholics be banned from government?
Clinton's offenses were far more serious than Foley's.
Should taxpayer money be used to root out these people, and prosecute them?
Why didn't the page go to the authorities?
Why didn't the parents of the page go to the authorities?
Why didn't the page go to the program coordinator?
These are the questions that really need to be answered.
Foley gave up his career. What more should he loose? His home? His car? His money? his freedom?
I am not defending him. I think what he did was disgusting. But enough is enough. Had Clinton just resigned, then he wouldn't have been dragged thru the mud, and maybe he would have never lied under oath? When will he serve his jail time for comitting perjury?

The Democrats made that announcement about Foley. He resigned & therefore Congress has no authority over him.
It has been turned over to FBI.

The Republicans & Democrats - 5 each - on board will look into who else knew & take appropiate action.

If Clinton had done the right thing & resigned like Foley, there would have been no impeachment & no Senator Clinton. Hmmmm!

It's natural to beat a dead horse, when said horse is thisclose to vaulting your a$$ into control of Congress. Frankly, we need to move on. The NK nuke test has obviously rattled many Americans, not to mention the rest of the world, and yet we're STILL gawking at the Foley scandal. Let the feds handle it for %$#@! sake, we've got bigger fish to fry.

Because that's the nature of politics and politicians. They are all corrupt. The sooner you get over thinking one is any better than the other, the better off you will be and the better the US will be. Conservative, liberals, they are all out for one thing - your vote. And it can most definitely be bought.
