She's been on a diet for four months until now... Not eating ANY junk food, soda, bread, and rice...

Do you think that's the case- that she's lacking some foods she should be eating like (brown) rice and whole grain/wheat bread?

She's not pregnant.

Why do you think she hasn't had her period in so long? Please give me a real answer.

She started when she was almost 11 years old.

She's been irregular for a few years now.

Thank you. :)

It could be lots of things from stress to her weight.

I'm a 44 year old woman who went through the same thing when I was 14. I started on my 13th birthday and did not get any more periods until a year later. When I was 14, my periods were very irregular and sometimes I went more than one month; sometimes 4 months or longer at a time without any periods. This is normal for some teens with getting irregular periods and the reasons can vary from stress to diet to hormonal problems, but every girl is different.
Take your daughter to the Gyn. She/he would be able to diagnose your daughter's condition better than we can.

It might be due to poor diet.Don't ask her to stop taking whole wheat bread and rice.Body needs enough nutrients to regulate its functions.
Ask her to take two table spoons of honey on regular basis.Eggs are also good for having a period in time.Don't go for medicines because they might regulate the situation for some time but when you will stop taking them, the problem will still persist and medicines do have side effects as well. Just go for natural remedies.

Don't take junk food but take all healthy forms of diet like vegetables, fruits, whole wheat bread, beans, soy beans, etc.

I can't tell you what the effects of that weird diet she's on, but I CAN tell you that when I was a teenager, I had the same symptoms. After 10 months without a period, I went to the doctor and was diagnosed with Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome.

Your best bet is to go to the doctor and ask.

i started around the age 11 , i also had very irregular periods. and i was put on birth control and they became regular after that, now that i am older and if it was my child i would go that route anyway because you can never guess at what your child is doing behind your back . NOT TO SCARE YOU,.. but i remember all the things i did behind my moms back and now a days 14 15 16 is the norm for all that..

Girls/Women need a certain amount of body fat to ovulate normally. You will see things simular with gymnasts, etc.

Young girls usually don't have a regular 28 day cycle until later and may even need birth control pills to "regulate" their cycle.

See her doctor to rule out other problems.

well its either two common things, she's pregnant or she's undergoing some really bad nutrition, and if she really doesnt seem to have an eating disorder or she's not going through a teenage phase of dieting just take her to a doctor.

I would take her to the doctor and get her checked she could have ovarian cysts. They can block the tubes so none of her eggs can drop and they can trick her uterus into a false pregnancy. but either way time for a doctors visit!!!
