Body & soul live as one. The soul permeates the body and flows the whatever point it needs and recedes when threatened. When the body can no longer support itself, the soul leaves its worldly experience and reconnects with the network of souls it belongs. One such place is called heaven and another is sometimes referred to as hell.

Scietists have been unable to locate anything remotely resembling "you" or your soul anywhere in this meat-suit. But if you were to ask Budha he may say that the average persons soul resides in the brain, but the heart is a much better home.

Soul is a loaded word, but I think the soul is the mind or self. Self is knowledge, the psychological conditioning, it is located in our brain. We call it memory.

It is believed the soul is located in our heart. ex: a heart for valentine. a wedding band on the fourth finger in which ancient people believe a vein run from the fourth finger from directly to our heart, the soul.

Although soul does not physically reside in our body, it is in constant touch with our mind which in turn is the source of all our thoughts and feelings and responsible for all our actions.

Your 'soul' is really your personality, people remember you as a person so your soul is your 'complete body', acting out what signals your brain sends out. So if you had one leg, people would remember you were missing it, it becomes a visual soul too. (from other peoples perspective)
That's why your soul is, what everybody who knows you are, in their own eyes you are you.
YOU ARE YOUR SOUL.

I think that our whole body holds our soul. The body is just the outer shell of who we are.
