I am straight
But I say many men are handsome.....
hey look . That guy is good physique...
O man look at that couple...
Look at the boy...
Dosent he look good...

I think admiring someone of the same sex dosent make u Gay or Lesbian...

It is just free expression...
I know I am straight & I love my girl very much...
If I say a man or boy is goodlookiing, that dosent make me less of a man.....

well every body has his way ....
I dont feel guilt...
If a man feels guilt in doing anything I think he is less of a man..
I dont understand why men cant admire or idealise another man...!

Everyone's a head shrink I guess. Fear of penetration? Good grief.

When a guy says that a particular female is hot, everyone assumes that the guy wants to boink her. How would you feel if your guy consistently makes comments about how attractive other women are, while he carefully looks them over from head to toe. Most women would be pissed because they would assume that he wants to have sex with them.

Of course, most men aren't so stupid to say such things. If you ask your guy "do you think she is sexy?", he would most likely say "nah, she's not my type", even though he really thinks she is hot.

So the same thing goes when you ask him if he thinks some guy is attractive. He will think that his answer may be interpreted in a similar way. And if he knows the particular guy in question, then the last thing he needs circulating amongst his circle of friends is that he said that so and so is totally hot.

A guy's manhood is an important thing, and to a certain extent, it depends on what he does more than who he is inside. It wasn't too long ago that dueling for the sake of honor was an accepted practice, and even today, there are certain circumstances where backing down from a fight is worse than losing the fight. This may all sound like playground nonsense, but one's image in the community often has an impact on professional and financial success. Any politician can confirm this.

I think that this concept is so hard for women to understand, because you DO look at other people of the same sex to see if she is better looking than you, and how you can copy some of what she is doing to make yourself look better (women compete with other women that way). This creeps men out.

In case you haven't noticed, most men aren't that obsessive about their appearance, so they really don't look at other men and rate their looks. Since men are not used to doing this, they really have no clue as to what features that a man would need to have in order to look handsome -- since we normally do not think about these things. They might have a vague idea, but usually when a straight guy says that another guy is good looking, he means that the other guy looks like a woman.

I will let my husband take this one:

"Insecurity, plain and simple. I know full well that everybody knows full well I'm not gay, but it's just awkward for us guys to compliment each other on our looks. Not that I can't appreciate a nice looking dude, but I won't be all gushing over him or anything like that. It's just not done amongst us."

There you have it, straight from a straight guy. Hope my hubby could help.

Because guys are not girls, if a guy says another guy is good looking, then the guy recieving the comment will think he's gay, thats how men see it. Our opposite sex has different prespective in life and perfer different things.

Some of them will if they're confident in themselves they don't have a problem saying that another guy is goodlooking.

A straight man will never tell another(even a good friend) that he's good looking. He might think it,but never mention it outloud. Now,one man might question another man's fashion sense.

I'm straight and I'll say a guy is good looking. I don't care. What's the big deal?

Not True! If someone is handsome, another man will often say so...if the subject comes up. It just isn't a subject that comes up that often among guys (IMNSHO).
