No. The domesticated sheep has lost all its natural instincts and must be cared for or it will not survive. Wild sheep are very smart. If you ever watch video of a herd of domestic sheep being moved you'll occasionally see one jump in the air as they move. The sheep in front of the jumper did not jump so you know there isn't any obstacle there. The sheep directly following the jumper will also jump as will all the ones after that. They will do that even though there is nothing there to jump over. The first sheep may have just been kicking up its heels or jumping for fun (they do that). They act as a mob and cannot think beyond sticking together. If grass or feed isn't right there in front of them they will not seek it out. That is why shepherds have to move them from pasture to pasture. They will eat to the dirt and not move on to a new grazing spot.

I've heard they are one of the dumbest animals. That's why they need shepards. They will drown in the rain if not attended. Eat too much grass and move onto the dirt if not directed to a fresh patch. So no I don't think so.

No, sheep are not smart, sheep are not smart at all. They are even more stupid than owls.

No they are not (or at least the ones we owned were not)...they are monsters! My sister raised show lambs, and when they sold, I was so happy they were gone.
