To elaborate a little, it seems as if nearly on a daily basis, one or more new laws are passed. Almost all of them seem to be BANNING something or other.

It seems as if they couldn't ban something unless it is being done already and usually if something is being done by the people, it is because it is something that they want to do. (I'm not talking about heinous crimes like murder, child molesting, kidnapping, even drunk driving, etc....) Just basically harmless things that people wouldn't do if they didn't enjoy doing them.

The fact that the government seems to want to pass a new law banning just about everything it finds out that people are enjoying, is a part of the reason for my question......

Very good question. The United States is occupied by a military organization which does indeed wage war against its own citizens. The military power is the DEA. Over 60% of Americans in prison are there for drug-related "crimes."

You may be interested in knowing that the DEA is now targeting physicians who prescribe medications for patients with legitimate medical conditions. I consider this an outrage.

Yes. Clinton started it. Remember WACO?
The m ilitary commisions bill, is not a bill. It is an act. And if you bother to read it, it is directed at NON-U.S.citizens. Don't believe everything people tell you. google it and read it yourself. Almost every paragraph clearly states military and Non U.S. Citizens. So, If I were an Illegal in the U.S., i might think about leaving.
What U.S. citizen is being detained without representation? If you ain't doing something you shouldn't be, then you have nothing to worry about.
