Do you mean you copied data to a CD and now you want to open it to edit or copy to your hard drive?

In order to use a CD for data files, you must first use a CD/RW, then, it must be formatted with Nero's software.

In this way, you can backup files to it and work with them back and forth like a floppy, however, you cannot take the CD/RW to another PC unless you download Nero's "Easy Write Reader." It is a small program, you can put it on a floppy, and copy it onto any other PC than yours.

If you copy data files to a CD without formatting it, the files become read-only.

Didn't you get a User's Guide with the burner? Better check it out, it is in there.
