I think my name is very classic and only has good associations. I would never change it!
I will admit to stereotyping people by there names (at first for a very short while!) I mean, if your mama gave you a stripper name, wouldn't you at least go by your middle name or come up with a good nickname?

I think so. My name is Betty and I keep getting mail from the AARP and for seminars for people over 50 preparing for retirement. I'm only 35 and look like I'm 25. I would probably change it, but that's what my parents came up with and I love them dearly, so I wouldn't change it for that reason.

My name is Wayne and I hear that people dont like that name or that it sounds like a cowboy or an old man. I wouldnt change it though cuz the way I see it I make the name cool.

Do you mean given name or avatar name? My given name does, yes. It makes people think of a little, tiny, weak person, so that is what they tend to expect. My avatar name of goddesskitty doesn't as it is named for one of my sweet cats whose name is kitty. She does think she is a goddess..LOL.
