The tree of life...hm...This could go a couple of ways.
1) The tree of life was a fruit tree. The tree of wisdom had apples, most will remember. Several references, seem to confirm that although the tree of life had fruit, what fruit that was is not specifically mentioned, nor is that the tree which God is related to have forbidden.
2) So what is this tree of life? Some African mythos tell of a bananna tree which could grant eternal life. The protagonists in this myth disobey a directive from God (or at least a God of some type) not to eat of this tree. The result is a sentence of mortality for all mankind destined to live and die like the tree and all other creatures on earth.
3)The conclusion: both Genesis and other stories from early religions seem to be explaining mortality. In Genesis it is specifically wisdom of good and evil which causes the expulsion of Adam and Eve from Eden. Presumably, this deneighs them access to the tree of life and imortality (a.k.a. we are mortals not gods).
4) On most important point. Marajuana is a grass. If it were to grow as big as bambo, maybe it could be seen as a tree, and the flower buds therefore fruit. However, the analogy is worthy since like the fruit of the tree of wisdom, marajuana is forbiden and often plays a role, like the tree of wisdom, in the lives of teens who try it, do not immediately die, and hence gain the wisdom of having defied authority and lived, which metaphorically expels them from innocents into a more complex world view.

This is such a stupid question I won't even respond to it, but I WILL relate to you a funny Beatle story involving marijuana. Once Paul was at a party where he had been smoking pot and suddenly everything in the universe made perfect sense. He grabbed a piece of paper and wrote down the most profound insight he had ever discovered. He gave the paper to Mal Evans, the Beatles roadie, and told him to keep it in a safe spot so he could read it again later.

The following day, Mal approached Paul and said, "Hey. Here is that paper you gave me last night that contained the secret of the universe. Do you want to read it now?" Paul excitedly took the paper and read his own words, "There are three levels."

That was it.

I wouldn't place too much stock in the wonders of pot.

The plant was something that we do not see because God put an angel at the entrance of the garden to keep people from ever eating it again, which means it was unique. But, my hubby would be happy if it were, lol.

I would take an 'Apple' from the tree of life and dream of a recording studio where I would play my instruments, write my songs and share my life through music. I would become world famous and my name would become a household word.....but that became someone else's dream.

Only a few will know why the apple is in quotations.

Yes...I guess I would. It really doesn't matter what was growing on the tree, it's what it signified. It was funny, I was at Bible study and there was this girl who was getting all mad at us for saying it was probably an apple. No one knows what kind of fruit it was, but we just kind of assume it was an apple for some reason.

Pass that fatty over here! I'm ready to celebrate life! Rock on!

Technically it couldn't have been. The bible says they ate the fruit of the tree, and Cannibis plants don't produce fruit.

But I'm just splitting hairs here.

Then I would definitely be smoking -- erh, lying on the grass under the tree on a hot day!

They would have kicked me out of the garden, but bet me, I'd be taking that plant along with me.
