What should I tell people who hate me because I'm gay?

People hate gays because of misinformation and narrowmindedness. Don't even give a second thought to them, they're not worth thinking about. As for what you should tell people who hate you because you're gay? Tell them to get over it already!

Well First if they hate you because of that reason, they shouldnt matter. Who cares what they think. As long as your happy with the way you are then oh well. It takes alot to strength to be gay because of all the hate. Some people will actually look up to you for the fact and those are the people that matter. Im gay and i could give 2 shi*s less about what people think about gays. Im happy as Ill ever be and no one will change that because of my lifestyle. Happiness is the key thing there. Alot of people dont like gays because we cannot reproduce but what they dont relize is most gays adopt. Whether you adopt from a differnt counrty or even here, there are children out there with no parents to love them. Isnt that right? Gays are becoming more more and common. Is not the "cool" thing to do, its a choice you make. You will not go to hell for being gay. YOUR HAPPY!!! Tell them aholes to get a life!!!!

People dislike anything that is different from themselves, because they have a hard time identifying. The best thing to do with someone who hates the fact that you are gay is to try to identify other similarities between you and them. Being gay is only a small part of who you are.

A lot of people hate gays because they think that gays are nasty perverts. But chances are that they have had some form of bad experience with gays before.

I'm a Christian who is straight and married with children and I don't hate any gays or lesbians. I know Jesus doesn't either. If someone is going to hate you for that reason, don't bother to even talk or rationalize with them. I believe everyone was created a particular way for a reason and there's too much going on in this world to bother yourself with ignorant people. I pray that you don't let other people's ignorance make you bitter.

Apart from the biblical reference that some use to bolster their "brownie" points, anything different will upset some people. The old principle of " Here's a stranger. Heave half a brick at him" still applies.
You could say "I forgive you". I have learned to do that but after 62 years I have a rather thick skin.

just tell them that they don't really hate you. they just fear you. that's because people fear what they cannot understand. tell them that being gay is not a disease. it is a personal choice. and just like any other choice, it is to be respected and upheld. should they find this hard to do, then it wouldn't be your fault anymore. it would be their problem because they lack the intellect to handle and deal with this in the appropriate and civil manner.
don't hang with these people. they are not worth your time. and there are other people out there who would deserve your time, attention, and efforts more.

Sometimes ignoring doesnt help, if you dont take a stand they will keep on hassleing you. Even your butt gets kicked you tried, then you press charges against them, Ha! Without violence there's no progress, in the the world we live in, people wakeup and realize you cant make cavemen understand and accept.

Ignore them.
Everyone has something they dislike, usually it's a reflection on the person who's doing the "hating." Not on the person who is "hated."

people are ignorant and some will forever be stupid.
the ones who hate gay people don't deserve a response.
don't waste time worrying about them.
