Usually an introduction is just that introducing the book and the author as well as possibly something else the author wrote. The rest of the paragraphs you talk about the book in more depth. Hope this helps.

book report due in twelve hours and you still don't know how to do an introduction. You could have avoided all this by actually asking the teacher becuase the teacher will give you the best answer becasue he/her actually assigned it. If youre shy, ask the teacher at the end of class. Don't procrastinate, it'll do you no good. We might be able to give you an introduction, but will it meet the teacher's requirement? Maybe if you actually paid attention, you could do an introduction

Just write two or three paragraphs composed of three sentences each on the general subject of the book. If it is about travel, write about travel in general. If it is about life, then write about life in general. That is how you will approach the introduction.

From there, proceed to the book review itself that will require the summary/synopsis, your reaction/critique, then a conclusion on how you rate the book itself and if it is fitting or important for people of your age to read it.

It is always good to start with a question to get them thinking. Such as "Have you ever been lost in the woods?" if your book is Hansel and Gretel. Good luck.......
