Almost laptop can be used in the Philippines and in the USA as well. Just be aware of the input and output of it. Since Philippines has 220volts while USA use 110 volts. So buy a laptop that has an input of 100-240 volts so that u can used it in both countries. Well most laptop have already that kind of input.

There is no such thing as mura and magandang laptop. If you want the best, you should be willing to pay more. If you want the best, go for IBM, if you want the cheapest, go for Dell.

All laptops in PHils are compatible in US since all laptops in the Phils are from US, There are no locally manufactured laptops in Phils.

I think all laptops are universal, they can be used anywhere in the world and I think all power source are also autovolt.

Normally the cheapest are the "brandless" laptop, but if I were you, I'd rather buy it in the US specially if you're coming @ around Thanksgiving? Thats in November. Laptops really go on SALE during Thanksgiving sale! The best sale happens every thankgiving , well just so you know.

Checkout bestbuy.com, radioshack.com, circuitcity.com so you can compare prices.

I would not suggest getting a Mac. I have an Ibook and have yet to find an internet company that can connect it to the internet. I think Mac's are not that common, therefore there is little tech support or software/spare parts/etc.

Most laptops AC chargers use 100 to 240 V, check yours to be sure. All you need is a plug adapter, but you will not need a voltage converter.
