Speaking from the standpoint of a person in the medical field (I'm a nurse for 10 years).....I would say that you should also be having some sort of psycho therapy....with a social worker, psychologist, psychiatrist, etc.
You are on some serious stuff. Not serious in the sense of addictive potential (although the Xanax is by prescription only), but you must really be going through some things to need or have been prescribed that stuff.
Online is not what you should be doing. Some sort of therapy would be much better. Online you are dealing with people you know nothing about, and the wrong type of people/responses may aggrevate your condition/mind state. Go to a professional who will help you.

If you have been severely depressed for only 2 months, I am wondering why you are on so many different meds. If she is not a psychiatrist or a nurse practitioner, she should NOT be prescribing these drugs. To try to answer your questions: I have taken Prozac in the past. I am currently taking Busphar ( mood leveler), Lexipro (antidepressant- SSRI type), Wellbutrin ( another antidepressant that works on other nerve enhancers), and Lamictal (helps w/depression, not sure what else it does.) My diagnosis is also deep depression with moderately high anxiety disorder. This combination works reasonably well. None of these are habit forming, and I experience no bothersome side effects. Seroquel and Xanax are both very habit forming and can lead to addiction. I refuse to use them as I have issues around addiction & alcoholism (clean & sober 13 years) I do not know what alpazolam is. A final note. NEVER use alcohol with any of these types of drugs as it will exagerrate side effects & could lead to severe illness or death. I wish you well, I am NOT a mental health professional, just a semi educated patient, so it is a very good idea to check out what I say with someone who knows. If I have questions concerning a drug, I always ask my pharmecist: No body knows about drugs than more than they do.

I take alpazolam for sleep. I have sleep apnea and I am suppose to use a sleeping machine, but my wife gets madder than you know what when I use it, because she is afraid water is going to get on the carpet.
I wake up several times during a night, but I fall right back to sleep, and I snore alot.
I have a sleep apnea appointment in December to talk to a specialist. I am waiting to see what he/she says.
Good luck with your depression because it is not an easy thing to go through. Been there, done that, and still there.
Email me anytime about sleep, I will tell you my bad experience.
I wish you the best of luck in the world.
