i'm trying to remember this 80's movie... if i remember correctly... it was sorta like a summer camp movie about some girl that was actually a guy or something like that... and she/he might have had the ability to change into a werewolf or something like that... i was pretty young when i seen the movie... and i only remember the ending... where the the girl that was a guy or a werewolf killed some other guy and she/he was in werewolf or very hairy and howled at the moon by the lake side or water... thats pretty much all i remember...

the movie was called "Sleep Away Camp". The girl "angela" was actually her brother not a werewolf. The real angela had been killed in a boating accident. The aunt that raised the brother wanted a girl so they raised "angela" as one. When they went to canp she killed several people and the ending she killed the guy that liked her by cutting off his head. They find them on the beach she stands and revels fully that she is a man, screaming painfully. there is a part 2 but it really sucks

The only 80's movie that I can think of that even closely resembles what you have described might be Stephen King's "Silver Bullet."(1985) However, there were no gender changes and the Werewolf was the town minister.

lol, this movie is actually in my collection. one of the wierdest 80's horror movies. its called sleepaway camp. the girl/guy is standing down at the lake at the very end. This was one messed up movie, she/he killed one girl with a curling iron up the hootie hoo,lol.

Sounds to me like you are talking about " The Howling" or the sequil. That had a female lead role in it who was, shall we say ' leader of the pack'. Still, a good movie.
