I am a college freshman who has a speech class and i have an informative speech due in 2weeks and i don't have a topic yet. I don't know what kind of topics are out there to choose from. We need to have powerpoints and an outline. I really don't have any special hobbies i like doing, but I do have a fear of speaking aloud in groups. But would that be a topic and how would i do powerpoints on it. Really need some help on this because i am stumpped! Thanks!

How about "the fear of public speaking"? And the things people do to over come their fears. You can learn a few tricks and help the other shy people inthe class! One tip while speaking pick three points of interest to bounce your eyes with while you talk. Mke sure they are just above peoples heads. Then it will look like your talking to them and you will think your in the room all by yourself LOL
Trust me the thinking they are in their underwear does not work. It makes me laugh every time!!

It is always a good idea to stick with a subject that you are very familliar with for these types of speeches and a situation where you find yourself nervous. Maybe you could do a speech about the history of the college you attend. That would allow you to speak about a subject that you should know something about - you can do a powerpoint presentation and an outline. Good luck!

Because it's an informative speach, reasearch statistics on fear of public speaking, and methods used to help people get over it and their percentages for success. Compare men to women, and compare age groups.
I think doing a speach on fear of public speaking is beautifully honest and maybe kind of cheeky... it sounds fabulous!
