I'm looking for contemporary songs with lyrics--something good for the college crowd. Pop, alternative etc that is clean and tasteful. Something suitable to go with a bunch of pictures taken during a cohort program. Your thoughts, ideas and shared experiences are greatly appreciated.

These songs I really love, the first one especially, because that particular song was played during my high school commencement:

Semisonic - Closing Time
Beatles - Hello, Goodbye
Mobile - See Right Through Me
John Mayer - Bigger Than My Body
John Mayer - Waiting for the World to Change
Coldplay - The Scientist
CAKE - I Will Survive
Bon Jovi - It's My Life
U2 - I Will Follow

I would find out what the top 10 songs from the past 10 years were. Get rid of the ones that are nasty or don't apply to your pictures and use the rest.
People connect with music that was popular during their high school and college years.

Go to Billboards top 40 web site and punch in the years you want to research.

I'd use Every Day is a Winding Road by Sheryl Crow. Also, you should try using One True Media to create the slideshow. http://www.onetruemedia.com. I used it for my 10 year high school reunion and my friends loved what I made.
