Don't you think that music in general has lost it's real meaning?

I think that music, actually has lost the magic, it's meaningless and recycled. it's dead...
What do you think?

i completly agree, i listen to 70's, 80's and 90's music mostly because it has most meaning. and the songs today mean nothing, and all the cuss words mean nothing, i mean in songs the cuss words make the meaning more meaningful. but i totally agree with you. what is this worlding comming to? im 14 and dont listen to the stuff made today. its all bad stuff, no good music.

Absolutely not. Music always has been magical, ever since that first cave-person decided to kill an idle moment by tapping on a couple of differently toned logs. If you can answer for yourself why people made, and continue to make music, I think you might understand that the creation and enjoyment of music IS the meaning. There is nothing wrong with preferring one type of music to another. But if new music can be popular (and undeniably, it is), then it means something to someone, even if it means nothing to you. I will say this, though. I DJ now and then, and to do my job well I need to listen to music of all types. I never cease to be amazed that I can (and do!) ALWAYS find new music I like and that has meaning to me, even if it might not be suitable for a particular event. If the music isn't doing it for you, I really don't think it's that the music is to blame. Take the time to find music you like, it's out there, believe me.

i totally agree!! and watz with these new music stars. its like all you need to be famous is know famous people, have money and be cute. where is the talent in these people. songs are so meaningless these days. i have listened to old music and it is so much better. every song sounds the same these days and they are all about the same crap!

most of it yeah, mainstream yup.....and even music that isnt so bad is pretty much just people complaining about there meaningless lives..haha.
