would the computer cause the spider injector to not work

Do what Ironhand says he is right, but also check the pressure and if you don't hear the pump running when you turn the key on, get a rubber hammer and pound on the bottom of the tank while someone cranks the engine over. If the truck starts, you have a bad pump. 93 S10's also have a history of internal fuel leaks in the fuel supply tubes to the spider. This will allow gas to mix with the oil.

It is possible, but don't automatically condemn the PCM.Remember the first rule of computers---Garbage in, garbage out.
If you are getting no fuel delivery, are you not getting fuel To the engine, or just no fuel through the injector?
The first thing to check is if the pump is delivering, and if the filter is restricted. With all accessories off, and no ambient noise, open the fuel filler and listen very closely while a friend turns the key to the ON position, but not start. Listen for a "HUMM" in the tank. If there is no humm noted, the pump has failed. Check the fuse; if it hasn't blown, you will probably have to replace the pump.
If you can hear the pump,or if you aren't sure, remove the little plastic cap on the fuel rail (it is the test port) and again while the friend turns on the key, depress the little tire-valve like stem and see if there is any pressure. If not, you are back to no fuel delivered, and the pump or fuse or filter may be at fault. By the way, is there fuel in the tank?
If you come this far, and there is fuel, but the injector will not deliver, it is time to retrieve the DTCs from the PCM.
Go here for the procedure------>

...and scroll down below the code descriptions for the connector description and to identify the connector pins to connect with a paperclip.
Each of the codes will repeat three times, then cycle on to the next code.
When you retrieve the second code "12", all of the codes present have been displayed.
With the codes in hand, refer to the descriptions on the site for circuit or system diagnostics.
NOTE:------->
1) Do not disconnect the battery before gathering the codes, or they will be lost. They are stored in a volatile memory location.
2) The codes refer to a fault or failure in a circuit or system monitored by the PCM and do NOT NECESSARILY point to a specific component. Diagnose the circuit, NOT the component. If the component has failed, replace it, but remember it is the circuit, which includes both the component, and wiring, and connectors, and OTHER components in the same circuit.

Good Luck

could be the computer, the common problem with the cpi trucks was the fuel pump, i don't remember the specs, but if the fuel pressure is even 1 psi too low the poppet valves on the eds of the injectior won't pop and you won't get fuel. try checking fuel pressure with a fuel pressure gauge, also try changing the fuel filter
