take them to a park or elementary school, seat them on a swing, and tell them to start pumping. it's like a chemical reaction watching what happens next, the person might start to smile or turn into a pile of putty.

Show him/her pictures of otehrs worse off then him/her and point out all the things he/she has to be grateful for. Then take him/her out for a great feel good meal and invite me along.

When such people trust you, they are the nicest and funniest with you. Well it is just my experience.
