At least $8.00 per hour. I know a few ladies who are divorced and trying to raise kids on $5.15 an hour. It is impossible .

$10.00 per hour , maybe less if hiring part time employees.Or fewer than fifty employees.
I am saying this to give small business a reasonable break when hiring high school kids.
There is some merit to the argument they could be priced out of employment.
But I think corporations making obscene profits off the backs of its employees- associates is wrong. No benefits , No health care. Low wages so that the employed can claim benefits from government programs is another way corporate America gets( indirectly) government aide

$16.00 an hour. Sounds high, but the way it is now is terrible. I live in Canada and the province I live in has such a high cost of living that I don't see how people are able to make it on $7.50 an hour. Not everyone has the chance to go back to school in order to get a better job. Even if they do, there is no guarantee. I've seen too many people work full time hours and they still can barely afford their rent???? The government needs to wake up.

I just read the answer from sexylittl from Alberta. You have a $15 minimum per hour wage in Alberta? So it's from 9 to 15 dollars an hour in Alberta? Um...don't think so. You might want to check that again.

$8 -$9 an hour, much more would start to negatively affect the economy. I do think it needs to be raised.
