Then, using a software program that allows for recording from the Line In plug, start up the DVD and start the record choice from the software. The sound will probably be recorded as a .WAV file, which can then be converted to an MP3. Many SoundBlaster cards come with a utility called "Creative Recorder" that has a choice for "Line In" recording, or even "What U Hear". That's a good program to use, for instance.
