Why are so many people mean to others?

Ppl are generally mean to others, b/c they have problems of their own at home or with other friends and show it by taking it out on other ppl. Nobody deserves to be mistreated. Just think, wouldn't the world be a better place if every followed the "Golden Rule" So take the first step in making the world a better place, and think before you act, "would you want someone to do that to you?"

Some people are so hateful, their just beyond to the point they even know their being ignorant.
Don't give them the time if their going to be rude.
They could of had a bad day, and not realize they said something hurtful as well.. if that's the case, give them their space, if their just plain ignorant..well, that's how some people are, and it's up to them to change.

They are b/c they have self issues they need to work out before judging other people!! They maybe too conceited to think anyone looks better then them and that's sad!! Maybe the world will change but I don't see it happening any time soon!!

I think it starts at home when kids are young their parents need to teach them to have compation and kindness for others. The mean people you come across are just kids that were never taught otherwise, all grown up.

I have young kids and I always try to teach them compation for other people and try to get them to tell me how they think other people feel in different situations. When my kindergardener comes home and tells me there was a new kid in class I tell her to make sure to try and make that kid feel welcome. When someone falls or something I teach them it's nice to ask if their okay. I think teaching my kids these things while they're young will turn them into compationate caring adults. I hope I'm right.
