Death, a logical cycle, since there's life.
Fear is a physiocological emotion. Which becomes relevant, when death actually happens.
Its the part when you "think" u r going to die, that is suffering. Like the 1st step before leaping over the cliff for a bungee jump or paraglide.
Other than the torture, the pain and fear that comes with "losing blood" etc. the final death is bliss. Probably, its the people around u that will be in pain now.

Death is not an end but a beginning. The real questions should be "are you afraid of life"

yes but not as much as i was before i took Amanita muscara(4 times)the mushroom of death ,which takes you in stages into death and through the white light into another dimmension ,as a spirit
collectively a lesson that teaches that death is but a door for another kind of existance devoid of material(bodies)
but still I am afraid of dying with out air
guess we can never shake all fears.
but it is the dying that scares me now, not the death

I am not. Why should I be afraid of . It is natural for the body to die. It could be because of (misfortune, sickness or old age). All the inhabitant of this earth is subject to physical demise. The ending that we don't want to happen is the ending of illusions or stupidities. We don't want to part our selfishness, greed, superiority status, anger, jealousy, pride and all the divisive attitude that we can think. So the question should be are you afraid to leave your selfishness?

death is as certain as taxes. I've learned to accept that this can happen anytime ... but I feel I've lived a full life, and am prepared to go. I have the feeling this comes with age too ... the younger you are, perhaps the greater the fear

Not at all, Christ was dead and in Hell and took no pain while there, Job himself "asked" for God to send him to Hell so that he could get relief from suffering.

I am afraid of the pain (and regrets) involved in the dying process, but not of the part that comes after I'm dead. I just hate the thought of leaving greiving family.

Death...hahahah...why bother living if you live your life in fear of its end? Just enjoy the time you have and don't worry about death, even if you could live forever, the earth will one day die, and then eventually, the universe will collapse. Point being someday, everything will end, so don't bother worrying about it.
