I have the opportunity to pick one up for 150.00 bucks...just needs a new engine. I'm looking at the B18C6. Anyone know if it has different mounts? How different and where can I find them? Anyone know where I can get a rebuilt B18C6? My local junkyard don't have any B Series.

Okay, here goes.... first things first, I think the engine you are talking about is an Integra type r engine, which will not be at any junkyards because it was only produced in japan. If you referencing to the integra 1.8 vtec dohc(b18c1) you still won't find it at the junkyard due to the popularity of the engine. The best place to find those engines is through a jdm engine importer, most of which you can locate by looking for the engine swap on ebay.
Back to the civic... all 98 model civics came with d-series engines. You are looking at swapping a b-series. The mounts will be different. You will need the b-series engine, trans, axles, wiring harness, and computer. You will also need a custom mount kit which you can source through ebay or hasport.
I would say your best bet is to replace the engine with the same engine, just because you will be able to retain the air conditioning and pass obd emissions. But definitely buy it, a 98 civic with a blown engine is worth a lot more than 150 bucks... Good find. Hope that helps.

get a h22 from a prelude. but you're gonna have to drive with no hood cause the engine is big.
